How it works
- Choose the English voice note or clip — up to 3 minutes
- We write down what was said, then translate it into Arabic — usually in under a minute
- Copy or download both as a TXT file
From English speech
- Sentence order
- English puts the verb after the subject and Arabic often starts with the verb, so sentences are rebuilt, not swapped word for word.
Reading it in Arabic
- Script
- Arabic script, written right to left, letters joined; short vowels usually not written — paste it into an app that supports right-to-left text.
- Numbers
- Gulf countries often use Eastern Arabic digits (١, ٢, ٣); North Africa uses 0–9.
- Saying "you"
- Arabic has anta (to a man), anti (to a woman) and antum (plural); formal Arabic is used in writing.
- Names
- In Arabic, names often include "bin" or "ibn" (son of) and a family name.
- Everyday words
- Gulf speech mixes in English and, in workplaces, Hindi and Urdu words.
- Who reads it
- Arabic is spoken across the Middle East and North Africa, including the Gulf where many Indian workers live.
Example
What was said (English):

You read (Arabic):
سيرتفع إيجار الشقة بدءاً من الشهر القادم. يُرجى التأكيد بحلول يوم الأحد ما إذا كنت ستجدد العقد.

It aims to — a respectful message should read as respectful to an Arabic reader. Machine translation can slip, so check names and figures against the recording.
Do I get the English transcript too?
