    Good to know — the honest limits

    We'd rather be upfront than overpromise. A few things worth understanding:

    • If the app or tab is closed when your connection comes back, the upload happens the next time you open hearlog with internet. Browsers can't upload for a site that isn't open, so there's nothing we can do in the background — but your audio stays safely on your device until then.
    • On iPhone / Safari, please open hearlog again within a few days of an offline recording. Safari may clear unused site storage after about 7 days, so don't leave an offline recording sitting for a week+.
    • Guests must sign in to recover offline recordings. The audio is still saved on your device, but recovering it into your notes needs an account so it has somewhere to go.
