Speak in your language. Get the transcript, the translation, and the voice — and keep the record.
Push to Talk is for long-form speech, not phrase-by-phrase translation. Speak up to two minutes, get a transcript and a translation, hear it read back, and save the whole session as a note.
What makes Push to Talk different
A speech-to-text translator that treats your words as a record to keep, not a phrase to throw away.
Speak, don't tap phrase-by-phrase
One continuous take up to two minutes — a real thought, a full answer, a whole update. Not a chain of short phrases.
Code-switched input welcome
Mix Hinglish, Tanglish or any languages you like. Auto-detect handles the mixing before it translates.
Saved as a note — transcript + translation together
Every session is kept in your notes: the original transcript and its translation, side by side, searchable and shareable.
We won't pretend to beat Google Translate at quick, live conversation — for short phrases it's free and excellent. Push to Talk earns its place on long-form speech you want to keep: a lecture answer, a customer note, a voice message, an idea — transcribed, translated, and saved together.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is Push to Talk different from Google Translate?
Google Translate is excellent for short, phrase-by-phrase exchanges, and for that it is free and hard to beat. Push to Talk is built for the opposite: long-form speech. You speak continuously for up to two minutes, get a full transcript AND a translation, hear it read back, and keep the whole thing saved as a note. We are not trying to beat Google Translate at live conversation — we keep the record.
Can I mix languages, like Hinglish or Tanglish?
Yes. Push to Talk uses auto-detection, so you can code-switch naturally — mix Hindi and English, Tamil and English, and so on — and it transcribes the speech as you actually said it before translating.
Does it save my conversation?
It saves your transcript and translation together, kept as a session you can revisit, share or copy — but NOT the audio. Your last 20 Push to Talk sessions are kept; older ones roll off automatically. Push to Talk sessions live on this page and are kept separate from your main Saved Notes.
Do you store my Push to Talk audio?
No. Your Push to Talk audio never leaves your device — it is used right in your browser to create the transcript and translation, and to let you replay it while you are on the page, then it is discarded when you start a new recording, discard it, or leave the page. Only the transcript and translation are saved. (This is different from the main recorder on the app, where your audio recording IS saved so you can play it back later — see our privacy commitment for details.)
What languages can I speak, and translate to?
You can speak in any of the 50+ languages hearlog supports (auto-detected), and translate the transcript into English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and many more world languages.
Can I hear the translation out loud?
Yes. Push to Talk reads the translation aloud in premium, natural-sounding voices — pick a male or female voice for your language. Where a premium voice is not available it falls back to your device's built-in voices, and if your device has none for that language it says so honestly instead of failing silently.
