How it works
- Choose the English voice note or clip — up to 3 minutes
- We write down what was said, then translate it into Punjabi — usually in under a minute
- Copy or download both as a TXT file
From English speech
- Sentence order
- English puts the verb after the subject and Punjabi puts the verb at the end, so sentences are rebuilt, not swapped word for word.
Reading it in Punjabi
- Script
- Gurmukhi in India (left to right); Shahmukhi, an Urdu-style script, in Pakistan (right to left).
- Numbers
- Gurmukhi digits exist, but 0–9 is common.
- Saying "you"
- Punjabi has tusi (respectful or plural) and tu (familiar).
- Names
- In Punjabi, Sikh names often end in Singh or Kaur.
- Everyday words
- Punjabi speech in cities mixes Hindi and English words.
- Who reads it
- Punjabi is spoken in Punjab (India) in Gurmukhi script and in Punjab (Pakistan) in Shahmukhi script.

Questions
Is translating English audio to Punjabi free?
Yes — clips up to 3 minutes and 25 MB, 3 times a day, no sign-up.

It aims to — a respectful message should read as respectful to a Punjabi reader. Machine translation can slip, so check names and figures against the recording.
Do I get the English transcript too?
Yes — what was said in English first, then the Punjabi.
