How it works
- Choose the English voice note or clip — up to 3 minutes
- We write down what was said, then translate it into Bengali — usually in under a minute
- Copy or download both as a TXT file
From English speech
- Sentence order
- English puts the verb after the subject and Bengali puts the verb at the end, so sentences are rebuilt, not swapped word for word.
Reading it in Bengali
- Script
- Bengali–Assamese script, written left to right, with a top line like Devanagari.
- Numbers
- Bengali digits (১, ২, ৩) are common in print, especially in Bangladesh.
- Saying "you"
- Bengali has three levels of "you": apni (respectful), tumi (familiar) and tui (very close).
- Names
- In Bengali, names have Bangladesh and India spellings that differ in English (Rahman / Rehman).
- Everyday words
- Banglish — English words in Bangla speech, and Bangla typed in Roman script on phones.
- Who reads it
- Bengali is spoken in Bangladesh and in West Bengal, Tripura and Assam in India.
Example
What was said (English):
Beta, I have sent the money for the hostel fee. Call me when you get it.
You read (Bengali (Bangla)):
বেটা, আমি হোস্টেল ফি-র টাকা পাঠিয়ে দিয়েছি। টাকা পেয়ে আমাকে ফোন কোরো।

Questions
Is translating English audio to Bengali free?
Yes — clips up to 3 minutes and 25 MB, 3 times a day, no sign-up.
Will the Bengali keep the speaker's tone?
It aims to — a respectful message should read as respectful to a Bengali reader. Machine translation can slip, so check names and figures against the recording.
Do I get the English transcript too?
